One of the main causes of road accidents is because the air pressure in the tires not ideal. Vehicle tire pressure should always be checked regularly to minimize this condition. Tire pressure also affects the performance of the vehicle.
If the tire pressure is less, then the surface of the tire that rubs against the road will be more and more, causing the vehicle’s motion to be heavier and this will lead to more wasteful fuel consumption. Tire pressure that is too much causes less surface friction of the tire with the road, resulting in less traction.
These factors require the driver to always maintain the tire pressure of his vehicle in ideal conditions. But most drivers ignore this check. With the development of current technology, a safety system for vehicles called TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) has been designed. The Tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is an electronic system for monitoring the air pressure in all pneumatic tires on a vehicle. This system is also referred to as a tire-pressure indication system (TPIS).
This system provides real-time tire pressure reports to the driver either through screens or other warning lights.

The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is divided into 2, namely the indirect system (indirect) and the direct system. The indirect system reads or estimates tire pressure based on differences in wheel speed. Tires with low air pressure have a different wheel rotation than tires with ideal pressure.
However, this system is considered less accurate, so a direct system was designed, this system does not rely on wheel speed, because it already uses sensors installed in each tire. Usually its installed on the tire filling valve. The sensor will detect the pressure in all tires and will inform the driver via the screen on the vehicle. If the tire pressure is not ideal, the light will turn red on the detected tire.
With this tire monitoring system (TPMS), it can make it easier for drivers to ensure that the air pressure in their vehicle tires is always ideal. The driver also no longer needs to check the tire pressure one by one because it is considered too troublesome.
